JAZZ CELEBRATIONS

Proudly Presents:

THE

DONAVAN

MURADIAN

QUINTET

Featuring:

LARRY MURADIAN – BASS/ JEFF DONAVAN – DRUMS

Chuck Manning – Sax        Kye Palmer – Trumpet
Curtis Brengle - Piano

The Donavan / Muradian Quintet
Jeff Donavan and Larry Muradian, drummer and bassist respectively, have been playing together for over
thirty years and for the last twenty years have co-lead The Donavan / Muradian Quintet (formally The
Nairobi Trio).  Their latest C.D., “DMQ Live”, was recorded at a popular Sierra Madre restaurant, Café 322,
and epitomizes what their music is all about: straight ahead, high energy jazz.  Pianist Curtis Brengle adds
virtuoso fire to the rhythm section, and trumpeter Kye Palmer and saxophonist Chuck Manning comprise
one of the strongest front lines on the L.A. jazz scene.  Together these guys swing hard and have a lot of
fun playing the music they love.

“The high musicianship and infectious spirit result in their being an easily recommended release.”  -Scott
Yanow- L.A. Jazz Scene

“Their music is drenched in the old school Blue Note post bop of the late ‘50s and early ‘60s when the clean
uncluttered production style of Rudy Van Gelder ruled the roost.”  -Paul Anderson- Pasadena Strar News

“Excellent…endlessly gratifying music.”  -E.J. Iannelli- All About Jazz

Please mark your calendars for future performances at 5:00 PM
