| Sunday, DECEMBER 10, 2006 5:00 PM JAZZ CELEBRATIONS Proudly Presents: EILEINA WILLIAMS QUARTET Featuring: EILEINA WILLIAMS – Vocals KAREN HAMMACK – Piano JACK LE COMPTE - Drums KRISTIN KORB – Bass EILEINA WILLIAMS At age nineteen Eileina took a job as a legal secretary in London. While in London she continued singing gospel, but her music took a different turn when she started to do session work. It was during one of these sessions that a fellow singer asked her to fill in singing one song at a session, which the friend was unable to attend. It was an R n B show. Eileina sang and thus began her run on the London singing circuit. In 1992 she was selected to attend an audition for Italian rock sensation “Zucchero”. He had been looking for a replacement “corista” for the past year but was dissatisfied with what he had found until he heard Eileina improvising with the studio pianist. Eileina was selected and began a six month European tour. This opened a wonderful opportunity for her. While on vacation in Rome after the tour, she was asked by a club owner to perform for an evening. The performance went extremely well and her one performance evolved into a five-year contract taking her all over Italy. Eileina has been in California since late 1999 and is working steadily. She sang for Bill Clinton at the 2000 Democratic National Convention in Los Angeles and was hired personally by Debra Messing to provide the entertainment for her wedding in September of 2000. Eileina Williams graced the “stage” of FLC in February of 2002. Since that first appearance Eileina has been busy as a guest act at many private functions. 2002 was also the year in which Eileina received the “Award of Excellence in Jazz Music – Female Vocalist of the Year” there was also an “Award for Best Performance of the Year” in the Long Beach Jazz Search. Eileina then went onto appear in the 2002 Long Beach Jazz Festival.
